The Essential Elements CLICK+HEAT heating pad is the answer. They work on a physical principle where heat liquefies the salt crystals and stores the heat as energy. Bending the metal plate triggers the crystallisation process and releases the heat. To ‚recharge‘, the heating pad is placed in hot water (the melting temperature of the salt is 58°C) until the crystals liquefy again. The heating pads are infinitely reusable with no waste and are safe to use without risk of burns or fire.
And of course, the heating pads also have an Essential Elements Plus function for winter mountaineering. When activated, they are placed under a standard gas cartridge – the size fits perfectly – and heat up the gas cartridge, allowing the gas stove to work in
subzero temperatures and at high altitudes.
